Donald E. "Danny" Fazekas

Danny has been a practicing attorney in Montgomery, Alabama, for over twenty-nine years. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of personal injury, family law and mediation services. He is authorized to practice law in all state trial and appellate courts.

He received his J.D. from Jones Law School in 1984; his B.S. from Troy State University in 1976, and his M.E.d., with an emphasis in traffic safety education, from the University of Montevallo in 1977. Additionally, he has received extensive training in mediation and actively mediates civil cases at the request of attorneys as well as for court appointed cases.

Danny's passion for motorcycles and representing the interest of motorcycle accident victims began over thirty-nine years ago when he served as a motorcycle officer at the Montgomery Police Department. His tenure at the Montgomery Police Department focused primarily in the traffic division where he served as not only a motorcycle officer but a fatality accident reconstructionist, hit and run investigator, and traffic supervisor. He has personally investigated or supervised the investigation of more than a thousand motor vehicle accidents and has received extensive training in the areas of accident investigation. *

After leaving the Montgomery Police Department, but prior to entering the practice of law, Danny served as the team leader for a pilot governmental program for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at the University of Montevallo's Alabama Traffic Safety Center. While there, he was responsible for the investigation and/or supervising investigations of vehicle crashes for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. During his tenure there he also testified before members of congress on issues of transportation and highway safety.

Danny is an advocate of motorcycle safety and protecting the rights of injured riders. His passion for motorcycles has continued through the years. Both he and his wife are active riders. Presently, he serves as the Head Road Captain for the Montgomery, Alabama, Hog Chapter and has served in this position for several years. He has been a guest speaker at various educational institutions, government functions and civic organizations.
